Activities included bird watching, boat tours, and horse rides - so much adventure! The most Portuguese village, Monsanto, is just a short drive away. I even joined a handicraft workshop - who knew I had a talent for pottery?
Couldn't catch any birds during bird watching - not enough practice with my net!

The friendly hosts recommended a great local restaurant and showed us their arts and crafts and metalwork and woodwork areas. The swimming pool was a welcome relief on a hot day and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with delicious homemade jams.
felt exceptional, nothing to complain about

The room we stayed in at Quinta Dos Trevos was absolutely charming. The unique wrought-iron beds gave it such a cozy and rustic feel. As a family, we loved the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere it provided.
While we enjoyed most aspects of our stay, the only thing we liked less was that the rooms were not air-conditioned.

The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with nice heating to keep us warm during our stay. The breakfast room was a great addition, with delicious homemade goodies and a variety of drinks available throughout the day. It was also handy to have access to the breakfast area at any time, giving us the opportunity to enjoy some coffee or wine whenever we pleased.
The internet connection was a disappointment. The children were particularly bothered by the slow and unreliable internet, making it difficult for them to stay connected with their friends and entertainment.

This place is jaw-dropping! The beautiful little rooms/apartments offer lots of privacy, and the stunning countryside setting is perfect for relaxation. The lovely pool is a super way to cool off. The owners, Maria Celsa and João, are incredibly sweet and accommodating. They went above and beyond by preparing a packed breakfast for us, including vegan gluten-free options. The region's advice they provided made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast offered is diverse and delicious, with tasty bread, jams, and cheeses. The swimming pool was a blessing after a hot day of exploring. We felt like part of the family and wouldn't hesitate to return. Maria Celsa and João are truly wonderful hosts. What a treasure!

the rustic exterior blended perfectly with the modern interior. the location was ideal as it was just a 30, minute drive from the festival we were attending. the owners of the villa were awesome and the breakfasts were delicious, all sourced locally or made in, house. the highlight of our stay was the refreshing pool, perfect for cooling off after a hot day out. We also loved how the hosts recommended a fantastic restaurant in the local town for dinner and shared their arts and crafts with us.
The experience was friendly, interesting, and truly memorable. Cons: Nothing to dislike.
